We are looking to hire at least 1 new employee who would be available from May to October , available on both weekends and during the week . Duties of the job would entail performing basic maintenance on our waterfront facilities, and acting as a crew member of the Stratford Pump-out when needed.
Minimum requirements-
You must be at least 18 years of age
You must possess a valid driver's license
You possess a valid CT Safe Boating Certificate or greater certification.
You must be experienced in boat handling, rules of the road, and local waterways.
You must be available to work during the specified time period as outlined above.
You must be in healthy enough to perform physical labor.
You must be able to swim
In Addition:
You will be required to submit a criminal background check
You must pass a physical
As our employee, you will be required to perform and complete a assortment assigned tasks with a minimum of supervision. You will also be required to learn and act as crew member of our popular Pump-Out Boat. This requires not only good boat handling skills, but a working knowledge of the local waterways, and having excellent people skills. Working with basic tools, experience painting, and operating a power washer are some of the skills that are required . Applicants also need to be self-motivated, and be able to tolerate various weather conditions particularly heat and sun.
This job might be well suited for an individual who is attending college in the area, however we will consider all applicants for employment provided the minimum criteria are met.
